This does not mean that we only hire teachers to be tutors, but we do require experience and extensive knowledge of the subject area they will teach. Our natural environment canoe & kayak centre revolves around +20- acre facility that includes our home based business; everyday test paddling, rentals, courses, campsites and all the outdoor maintenance that comes with an enterprise this size. It is extremely busy at times and slow at others, with weather conditions often dictating our level of business. Correct lifting of canoes & kayaks is essential along with other heavy lifting with at times- long-hours and difficult weather conditions. Accordingly, the chosen individual must have the drive, self-motivation and multitasking skills to be productive, always busy and work with limited supervision. Job Description:	Position Description: The CNC Machinist must be capable to set-up and operate a variety of machine shop equipment, to make or modify products and parts with precise dimensions and close tolerances. The CNC Machinist must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed, and plan best sequence of operations The CNC Machinist is required to verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments The CNC Machinist works as part of the project team The CNC Machinist assists in continuous improvement activities with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction Principal Responsibilities: Machinists perform some or all of the following duties: * Machine parts for machine projects as per engineering design drawings * Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces. * Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine equipment to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planning, drilling, precision grinding and other operations. * Complete daily maintenance * Verify dimensions of machined parts or tooling using micrometers, verniers, callipers, height gauges, etc. * Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to Machine Shop Supervisor and/or Q.C. * Verify dimensions to specification and complete inspection reports. * Provide on-the-job training to new employees and apprentices Experience & Education: Education: Must have a Certificate of Qualification as a General Machinist Experience: Must have 5+ years experience in a machine shop environment Must have own tools.
