There are many opportunities for young people to explore their career options. This can happen at school with job shadowing, career fairs, co-op placements, the Limestone Board’s Focus programs, etc. Volunteer work, part time and summer employment all provide valuable insights into what your strengths, interests, values and preferred work environments are. Whether you are speaking to family members or friends in the workforce, or have arranged an information interview with someone doing the kind of work that interests you, asking the right questions is the key to getting good information.
